Precision systems for extreme environments
Mechanical design, prototyping, motion systems, and test development for nuclear instrumentation and other projects where ‘close enough’ is not invited to the meeting.

One practice. Four angles.
What I build in the garage shapes what I see on screen. What I see on screen influences how I gather people on stage. What I learn there feeds the systems I explore in the lab.

Where hands remember what the mind imagines. Cars, fabrication, 3D printing, prototypes, and the long, honest education of making the real thing work.

Where moments become shared memory. Music, performance, and community projects built to bring people into the same room—and give them a reason to stay.

Where noticing turns into story. Film, acting, writing, photography, and the quiet work of finding the true thing inside a complicated idea.

Where curiosity refuses to sit still. Human-centered technology, mechanical systems, applied AI, and experiments that make the future feel a little less sterile.
[ THE PRACTICE ]
“Different mediums.
Same instinct.”
I’m less interested in having one neat title than in doing useful, interesting work across disciplines.
The point isn’t variety for its own sake. It’s pattern recognition: carrying a lesson from one world into another until the solution becomes obvious.
Currently in motion
Selected work and ongoing obsessions. Some are professional. Some are personal. The useful ones usually become both.
Mechanical design, prototyping, motion systems, and test development for nuclear instrumentation and other projects where ‘close enough’ is not invited to the meeting.
Directing a city-spanning music festival built around local talent, walkable discovery, youth participation, and the idea that culture should feel lived-in—not imported.
Open project ↗Restoring and reimagining classic Datsuns while documenting the process, the wrong turns, and the small breakthroughs that make old machines worth knowing.
Open project ↗Exploring an assistant that moves naturally between workshop, home, and car—useful without being needy, present without constantly asking for attention.
Open project ↗Work with Quinn
I collaborate with people who care about what they’re building—and why they’re building it.
Clarity, structure, and a fresh angle for people or small teams with a promising idea that is almost—but not quite—landing.
Hands-on help taking an idea from napkin logic to modeled, fabricated, tested reality, with useful documentation left behind.
Film, copy, photography, and narrative strategy for work that needs to be understood, remembered, and told without the usual marketing fog machine.
Programming, production, partnerships, and public-facing experiences designed around the people who will actually inhabit them.

How I work
I ask questions before proposing solutions. I value momentum over theater. I document as I go. I’m sometimes blunt, never careless.
If you need someone to blindly execute instructions, I may not be your guy. If you want a thoughtful partner who will challenge the premise, find the hidden constraint, and help finish the thing—we’ll get along just fine.
