[ THE SHORT VERSION ]
I came to screen work through several doors—writing and directing my own early film, working production on features and network television, and performing on screen and stage. The roles changed; the education in story, logistics, people, and beautifully controlled chaos carried across all of them.
01 · First filmThe Tree of Life
+
My first professional film experience was an internship on Terrence Malick’s The Tree of Life (2011). It was a fairly absurd place to begin: working inside one of cinema’s most singular productions before I had any ordinary baseline for what a movie set was supposed to be.
